This week has been a great week. Nice and slow. (Next week will be crazy, so I've tried to enjoy it.) :)
We were able to stay home Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday (with the exception of a quick errand Monday afternoon and church Wednesday night).
One of the blessings on being home is more time to really cover our school work. It's such a blessing to be able to not feel rushed to get this in before we need to be some where. (I'm notorious for packing my schedule, but I do learn and have slowed down quite a bit.) I'll try to post another time the materials we are using. One of the other big blessings of being home is the free time the girls enjoy. I love to hear them playing. (Yes, I hear arguing at times also. I don't enjoy that so much. We're all a work in progress. But the playing together, making plans for different things - that's great.)
Thursday the youngest and I enjoyed a visit with my grandmother while the older three girls had piano lessons.
Today was busy. School work in the morning and lots of errand running in the afternoon. (The house is now well stocked with groceries and other things that were running low.) :) This evening was a great Friday family night together. We went to dinner, visited a couple recently opened stores in town, and visited Walmart to finish our grocery shopping.
Now life gets busy, but with good things. Tomorrow the oldest 2 girls will enjoy breakfast with their small group from church and enjoy visiting with a sweet, elderly lady in our congregation. All have a birthday party to attend at lunch time. The oldest and I will enjoy volunteering at an informational booth for Operation Christmas Child in the afternoon. We'll also enjoy an overnight visit from some sweet friends of our who have moved over the summer. Sunday we look forward to worshipping God with our church family. Lord willing, Monday will include produce co-op and missionary geography club. Tuesday will be piano, Wed. - church, Thursday we look forward to attending a play, and Friday we look forward to camping. Whew! What a busy week of blessings. I think God knew we needed some down time this week (and we sure appreciated it).
Probably more info than you really wanted to know - but that's our life in a nut shell this week. Here are some photos from this week that I thought you might enjoy:
Lots of fun playing outside (although, as it turns out, only have photos of 2 of the girls enjoying time outside).
So, just before lunch and errand running, we gave him a bath. Turns out he's not quite as fat as we thought - more fluffy. :)
He laid still while cuddled like a baby afterward.
May you have a wonderful weekend full of family, friends, and worship.
