I think we all experience this when we or someone we know and love is expecting a baby. We love that little one, not because of what they've done or will do but, simply because of whose they are. Put simply, it's not who they are but rather whose they are.
There's a spiritual analogy. God loves us because, as believers, we belong to Him. It's not because of anything we've done, simply because of whose we are! What a blessing!
Psalm 100:3
Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Titus 3:5
he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy
Thank you for those of you who have continued to pray for my brother, sister-in-law, and their little one. (The situation remains the same - praying for a miracle and, most of all, God's will and for Him to receive the glory. They have found out the baby is a boy and have named him Eli, so we can pray for him by name.)
Around our house, life is crazy and busy but good. :)
We're back into our school and activities routine and added yet another activity (dance for the older 3 in addition to the youngest). :0 The weeks fly by and on Friday evening I'm shocked it's already the end of the week.
Feels good to be back to normal but, as you can tell, one result is much less computer time.
Heading out the door to speech club right now. Have a great weekend!

Hi. Thanks for visiting my blog! And thanks for your comment!!
I will pray for little Eli. Is he still in the womb?
God knows the situation and I will pray, just my human curiosity.
I had a pregnancy where they thought my baby had several problems and advised me to terminate (and there was actually nothing wrong once she got here) so I know how stressful it is thinking there is something wrong and praying for God's will since he caused the baby to form and trying to accept that will.

Isn't it wonderful to know we belong to God. It is all about 'Whose We Are'!
I love you comment on babies. So true! Still praying for Eli and his family. May God sustain them during this difficult time. I can't imagine what they must be going through.
Have a wonderful Sabbath,
Jackie
Thank you, Stephanie, Connie, and Jackie for your sweet comments and for continuing to pray for Eli.
A bit more information for you, Stephanie. Eli is still in the womb. When she went for the normal ultrasound (around 20 weeks), they learned that he had polycystic kidneys (not functioning), which resulted in no amniotic fluid, which has resulted in the lungs not developing. While he's in utero, he's growing fine (he's already at 2 3/4 pounds), but outside of a miracle from God, he's not expected to live but for a day or two at the most (possibly just a couple hours). He's due mid April. My brother and sister-in-law are leaning hard on God. Praying for a miracle and, above all, for Him to be glorified and to give them strength for whatever path He has them walk. (They also have an 8, 6, and 2 year old that need prayer too. It's hard for them also.)
Thanks again for praying.
Have a wonderful day of worship.
In His love,
Tina
