Whew - ever notice how busy life is?
Last week was a tough one (and a good one, depending on your perspective). R's grandad went home to Jesus Sunday evening (April 6th). While that's wonderful for him - we know He's with Jesus enjoying things we can only imagine on this side of heaven, we still miss him.
This past weekend, we worked on the house. R's actually been working on the house daily for a long time. He comes home from work almost every night and heads straight over to the house to work on the duct work. It's coming along but is a lot of work. He's such a great guy though - "good enough" isn't in his vocabulary. When he does something, it's going to be done right. Saturday the girls and I cleaned the (rental) house, picked out paint for R & my bedroom and got started painting. (See picture in the previous post.)
Sunday we had a wonderful time of worship at church, had lunch at home, & then went to an art show where Ra had a piece on display. (I'd post the photo but it's on my camera's internal memory and I don't have it on the computer yet.) Anyway, it was lots of fun and she even won 3rd place (and a bit of prize money). :) After the art show, we went to the house to work and then the girls and I went to movie night at the church.
Today was quite a busy day! The girls and I went to sort for our organic produce co-op. Due to a number of things, it took twice as long as normal. Then we came home for a quick lunch (and the girls got in some reading time). We left a little early for ballet intending to get some books back to the library - didn't quite have time for that, so we picked up yet more paint chips from Lowe's. :) Then on to ballet, the library, grab a quick bite to eat, a homeschool group meeting, and finally home again a little after 10 pm.
I'm thankful that God's given us good things to do but am sure thankful that everyday isn't that busy. Looking forward to a slower start to the day tomorrow and getting in a normal school day. :)
Hope you're all doing well.
