Week in Review

This week has flown but it has been a blessing.

We've accomplished a good bit of our school work - including history and science (which is the fun part). :)

Tuesday morning two of the girls had their piano lessons and that afternoon my 3rd had her ear rechecked. (Her eardrum had ruptured a month ago but God has completely healed it.)

Wednesday my non-piano playing girls had their art class. We all enjoyed church that night also.

Thursday afternoon we enjoyed drama class with some homeschool friends of ours. Our group plans to read Swiss Family Robinson at home and act out scenes from what we've read and do related activities when we're all together.

Friday was such fun. We got to go on a great fieldtrip to a nearby nature center. We had lots of friends there and enjoyed the fellowship and enjoying God's beautiful world. (The weather was great. It was a wonderful way to welcome spring!) Here are some photos:

Here's the youngest group enjoying their nature walk. The older two groups learned and practiced compass skills during this time as well as enjoying their own nature walks. When the younger group returned to the pavilion, they were taught how to use a compass while the older two groups learned about animal skins and the different ways God has made them.

This is a beautiful pond we were able to enjoy on our walk.

After the fieldtrip was over, a few families stayed to enjoy a picnic lunch. While we enjoyed eating and visiting, one of the tour guides brought us a tree frog and baby turtle to see and hold. :)

After lunch we enjoyed a little hike on our own.
It was a terrific fieldtrip and a wonderful day.

That afternoon my 3rd had a birthday party to attend. My sweetheart is also installing an air conditioner for a friend from church this weekend, so we stopped over to see and help him that evening.

Today we picked up the 3rd from her sleepover and took our oldest to town for Child Evangelism Fellowship. (She's been selected as a summer missionary and is so excited. We are thrilled for her because we know how called she feels to the mission field and how much she is drawn to evangelism.)

Hope you all had a wonderful week and have a blessed time tomorrow in worship.
